2018 Summer Internships

Tall Ships Portland is seeking 3 interns for the summer of 2018 to help provide sailing opportunities for youth. These three internships provide hands on experience for college students preparing themselves for careers in education, non-profit management, sail training and technology.

Events Coordinator

Tall Ships Portland organizes events every summer. Our summer interns--usually college juniors with an interest in tall ships--run these events and derive valuable management and leadership experience and have lots of fun here in Portland, a great place to summer. The Events Coordinator will be in charge of Portland SchoonerFest & Regatta (June 22-25, 2018), Dinner on the Coast (July 22, 2018), and Tall Ships® Weekend 2018 (date TBD). Tasks are diverse and engaging - giving you real world experience with everything from CRM databases to schooners. The summer is our busiest time of year and between shoreside events and educational programs at sea, the days are never dull! You will have the chance to sail on a tall ship during your internship.
